Shania Twain

Shania Twain is a beautiful tabby girl. She was rescued from an unfortunate situation and was declawed by her previous owner. SALT Rescue took her in and gave her the vet care and love that she needed. Shania Twain was very shy, and took some time to be ready to be adoption. She then became available for adoption at PetSmart Fanshawe in London.

SALT Rescue volunteers liaised with Purrfect Seniors to set up Shania Twain’s sponsorship. Purrfect Seniors did not hesitate to step in to help find her the right home through the sponsorship of her adoption fee and her annual routine exam and vaccinations.

Less than 24 hours after her sponsorship went live, Shania Twain found her new home. Her adopter actually works at PetSmart and had been looking to adopt a cat for some time. She shared that when she saw Shania, she knew it was meant to be - Shania came out of hiding, which she hadn’t done with anyone else (even the PetSmart volunteers!). After her adopter was approved, Shania went home the next day. She is already very loved and happy in her new home. We’re so glad to have played a part in her story and to have helped her find her forever home where she will be cherished for the rest of her life.
