Phoebe

Phoebe, formerly known as Yum-Yum-Lickms, has quite the story. She was found living in a trailer park in rough shape, having clearly endured a difficult life and having had kittens in the past. Thankfully, she was rescued by SALT Rescue, where she received the veterinary care, love, and patience she needed to begin her new chapter.

SALT Rescue volunteers reached out to Purrfect Seniors to sponsor Phoebe through our Sponsorship Program. We were happy to cover her adoption fee, along with her annual routine veterinary exam and vaccinations.

Not long after, the perfect family came along! After losing their beloved senior cat, they described having a "senior cat-shaped hole" in their lives and knew they were ready to welcome another older feline. They expected Phoebe to be a quiet, slower-paced companion, but she quickly proved them wrong! Phoebe is full of energy, loves to play, and has brought so much life and laughter into their home.

While she was understandably shy when she first arrived, Phoebe has blossomed into a confident and affectionate member of the family. She gets along wonderfully with the family's dog and their two resident cats, and continues to show more of her sweet personality every day.

We're so grateful to have been part of Phoebe's journey from a difficult past to a loving forever home. Stories like hers remind us that every senior cat deserves a second chance!
