Volunteer With Us!

Purrfect Seniors is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping senior cats find safe, loving homes and live comfortable, happy lives. We rely entirely on volunteers to make this happen.

You can get involved from anywhere — we offer both remote and in-person roles in London, Ontario.

Whether you want to help with admin, events, transport, or direct care, your time makes a real difference for senior cats.

Remote & Flexible Volunteer Positions

We are currently seeking volunteers to fill these positions. If you’re interested in any of them, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form. Please note that the Director positions will require a more thorough interview and onboarding process.

  • As a general member, responsibilities include:

    • Attending meetings

    • Voting

    • Participating in initiatives and operations that you are interested in

    • Having more flexible duties (work with directors and chair of the board).

    • Will be present at general meetings and other meetings, as needed.

  • The responsibilities of the Director of Outreach include:

    • Seeking appropriate community placements for adoptable cats

    • Seeking humane societies or other adoption organizations that would be interested in collaborating

    • Source other collaboration opportunities, such as fundraising

    • Develop outreach materials

    • Contact media outlets (i.e. newspapers, news stations)

    Position requirements:

    • Strong communication skills - written and verbal

    • Consistency and reliability

    • Technological proficiency

    • Experience with Canva an asset

    • Work with other committee members and the Director of Fundraising

    • Identify fundraising opportunities 

    • Organize fundraising events & initiatives 

    • Record and assess fundraising achievements  

    • Participate in fundraising meetings

    Although it would be great to have members available to participate in events in London, Ontario, we are happy to have committee members who work remotely as well.

    • Work with other committee members and the Director of Marketing

    • Develop and implement a communications plan

    • Create and coordinate information in a variety of formats (i.e. media outreach, event promotion, email marketing, social media, and blogs) 

    • Maintain the organization’s branding and image

    • Assess the effectiveness of communication strategies

In-Person Roles in London, Ontario

  • We currently do not have any co-op positions available. If this changes, we will make an announcement on our website and social media platforms. 

  • Absolutely! If you’re interested in collaborating for a volunteer day, please email info@purrfectseniors.ca.

  • Time commitments depend on the position of the volunteer. For example, Directors have more of a commitment and specific responsibilities. General Members have a more casual commitment and can participate in the activities that they are the most interested in.
