Piper Jane
Piper Jane is a gorgeous 9-year-old calico. She was surrendered by her previous family but has now found her forever home. Shortly after her adoption in August, PJ’s story took an unexpected turn. She became unwell, and after multiple trips to the veterinarian, her family learned that she was suffering from urinary crystals. The treatment plan required specialized prescription food designed to dissolve the crystals and prevent recurrence.
While her loving family was determined to give her the best possible care, the diagnosis came with sudden and significant costs. Between her recent adoption fee, veterinary visits, diagnostic testing, and the ongoing expense of prescription food, the finances added up quickly. Despite these challenges, PJ’s family never wavered in their commitment to her. They wanted nothing more than to ensure that their beloved cat could live a happy, comfortable, and healthy life.
Although PJ was not adopted through Purrfect Seniors’ Sponsorship Program, her family reached out to see if any assistance was available. The Purrfect Seniors Team knew we had to find a way to help. After thorough consideration of what commitment we could make, we made a special exception and stepped in to sponsor the cost of PJ’s prescription diet.
We are delighted to share that Piper Jane is now feeling much better! She is thriving in her new home and is getting along well with her two feline siblings. It is clear that she has found her forever home where she will always be cared for.
Stories like Piper Jane’s highlight exactly why our work at Purrfect Seniors matters. We are proud to have played a part in PJ’s journey and grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.
