Jack-alope

Jack-alope, or “Jack”, is a handsome longhair buff boy. He absolutely rocks the lion cut, especially with his green sweater! Jack has been through a lot of change throughout his life - he was found as a stray when he was 10 or 11 and then later surrendered at 13-year-old by the family who had kept him. SALT Rescue happily took Jack in and gave him the vet care, grooming, and love that he needed.

SALT Rescue volunteers liaised with Purrfect Seniors to set up Jack’s sponsorship. Purrfect Seniors did not hesitate to step in to help find her the right home through the sponsorship of his adoption fee and his annual routine exam and vaccinations. Jack’s story and adorable face really touched our hearts, and we were eager to find him a loving home.

It took Jack just eight days to find his forever family. His adopters had gotten up earlier than usual and made their way to PetSmart to adopt another sponsored cat they had seen online. That cat, Bunny, had already been adopted and was heading home later that day. As luck would have it, Jack was still waiting for his chance—and it quickly became clear that he was the perfect match for their family. Of course, Jack went home with his beloved green sweater, too!

The family shared this update the next day:

“He is so sweet, gentle and loving. He slept next to my head all last night, not peep out of him. He's doing great adapting to his new surroundings. We are so grateful to have him in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts”

Jack-alope continues to thrive in his new home. His family takes exceptional care of him, and it is clear that he has found the perfect place to spend the rest of his life.
