Dandy

Dandy is a sweet 11-year-old calico who recently began a new chapter of her life. Her previous family reached out to Purrfect Seniors for help rehoming her as the family’s dogs were not respecting her boundaries. While Purrfect Seniors does not typically assist with private rehomings, the circumstances aligned in a way that allowed us to help ensure Dandy landed exactly where she belonged.

Rhonda knew of a senior woman who had been hoping to welcome a senior cat into her life for companionship. Rhonda reached out to her right away. When she learned that Dandy was a calico, she was overjoyed! The match felt meant to be from the start.

Today, Dandy has officially moved into her new home. She and her adopter are already settling in together, and we are thrilled to see Dandy enjoying the attention she most certainly deserves. There are also no dogs in sight!

Dandy’s story reminds us of the powerful impact senior cats can have — and how deeply they can enrich the lives of those who adopt them. Cats provide calm, meaningful companionship, and in return, they deserve stability, understanding, and support in their golden years.
