Virginia was found outdoors living in a cat colony and had been without a home for an unknown amount of time. S.A.L.T. Rescue took her into their care and got her the vet attention she needed so she could find her forever home!

Purrfect Seniors worked alongside S.A.L.T. Rescue to sponsor Virginia and support her adoption. As both a senior cat and a black cat, Virginia faced two factors known to significantly reduce adoption rates—making her sponsorship especially meaningful.

An older woman who had recently lost her beloved cat came across Virginia’s profile and went to meet her at PetSmart. Luckily, it was a purrfect match and the woman knew they would have a great future together. Following our sponsorship announcement, Virginia was adopted in less than 48 hours—a powerful reminder of what awareness and support can make possible.

Virginia has settled into her new home quite nicely. Her new mom shares that she is very playful and smart! She bought Virginia some puzzle toys and she figured them out very quickly. The two of them are very happy to have each other’s company.
