Meet Shannon!

Shannon Palmer

Director of Finance

Shannon began her position as the Director of Finance at Purrfect Seniors in June 2024, and was happy to return to the role this year! In this role, she is responsible for developing and managing the organization’s budget, overseeing all financial operations, and ensuring that every dollar is used thoughtfully to support Purrfect Seniors’ mission of providing comfort, care, and compassion to senior animals.

As a lifelong animal lover, Shannon was drawn to Purrfect Seniors because of her belief that every animal deserves to grow old with dignity, love, and stability. Her passion for supporting animal welfare began at home, with her beloved chocolate lab, Saphira (the dog in her photo), who inspired Shannon’s deep appreciation for the joy senior pets bring to our lives. She hopes to give back by helping other animals experience the same kind of happiness and security that Saphira does.

Beyond her love of animals, Shannon is committed to using her skills and education to make a meaningful impact. She recently completed her dual degree at Western University, earning a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering and an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School. Volunteering with Purrfect Seniors gives her the opportunity to stay involved with a cause close to her heart while applying her financial knowledge in a real-world setting.
