Nora

At 13 years old, Nora became the first cat to have her adoption sponsored by Purrfect Seniors. In April of 2025, she was surrendered to S.A.L.T. Rescue through no fault of her own, but within nine days, she had already found her fur-ever home. Purrfect Seniors was more than happy to help with the transition, and while she is still adjusting to a new environment (which she shares with another senior cat, Poke), after our first wellness check, we’re happy to share that Nora has come a long way.

Nora has found her new family in owners Adele and Alex. She’s got her boundaries, but is opening up to her new family and growing more affectionate by the day. Some of her favourite activities include batting the ropes on her scratching post, playing with her mouse toys, and lounging by the fireplace on a comfy cushion.

She has begun to follow her humans around – sometimes curling up in their seats – and even grooms Poke from time to time as they pass in the hall. She is bonding well with the whole household and is receiving much love in return. She has even started greeting her parents at the door when they come home.

Purrfect Seniors helped make this adoption easier for Nora’s family by covering her adoption fee and providing a care package with goodies and brushes to help them manage Nora’s long coat. Along with providing support, Purrfect Seniors is covering Nora’s prescription urinary diet, helping Nora live out her golden years healthily and happily and keeping the family from worrying about this significant expense.

Additionally, Poke was showing signs of anxiety after losing his sister cat that he was bonded with. Nora has been helping him heal, bringing light to how adopting a senior cat can benefit everyone in different ways.

The Purrfect Seniors Team wishes many more days of play and relaxation for Nora and her family, and would like to thank Adele and Alex for giving a senior cat another chance at life.

We rely on donations to support Nora’s ongoing care through our sponsorship program, and to help more senior cats like her find loving homes. If you’d like to contribute to Nora’s care, please click the button below and include her name in the donation form.

Thank you for helping us give senior cats the love and support they deserve!
