Chanel (Formerly Luminelle)

9-year-old Luminelle and her 7-year-old sister Velmira were welcomed into the care of Dogwood Animal Rescue

Thankfully, they were taken in by Dogwood Animal Rescue (formerly Dorset Rescue Kittens), where they were given the vet care they needed and the opportunity to find a new, loving home. Purrfect Seniors worked with Dogwood Animal Rescue to sponsor Luminelle’s adoption fee and the ongoing cost of her annual routine exam and vaccinations. Velmira was too young to be eligible for our program, but we hoped that the sponsorship of one of the sisters would encourage a family to adopt both of them!

When their adopters came across Luminelle and Velmira at PetSmart, they immediately related to them and appreciated their laid back nature. Unfortunately, they were told that Velmira was spoken for…. but everything worked out perfectly, and they were able to adopt both sisters! They now call Luminelle “Chanel” and Velmira “Coco”. The duo is getting along fabulously in their new home, and they very much enjoy each other’s presence.
