Adopt Toast and Jam!
Location: SALT Rescue - 353 Talbot St, St. Thomas
Age: 12
Sex: Female, Spayed
Colour/Breed: DMH tortoiseshell
Meet Toast and Jam, also known as Gemma or TJ! She is approximately 12 years old and is looking for her forever home where she can spend the rest of her years. TJ was originally adopted from SALT Rescue through our Sponsorship Program last year. Sadly, her adopter had to return her when they were no longer able to care for her. Although a contingency care plan had been arranged, those who had agreed to help were ultimately unable to follow through.
Before being brought into SALT’s care in 2025, Toast and Jam was thrown outside by her previous owner. In SALT’s care, she was spayed and had several teeth removed. TJ is a wonderful, affectionate cat who loves sleeping in bed at night, looking out the window, and bathing in the sunlight. She recently got updated vaccinations and is all ready to go to her new home!
Her ideal home is a quiet one with no other cats. With her loving personality, she would make a fantastic lap cat for anyone looking for companionship.
Toast and Jam is currently in the care of S.A.L.T. Rescue and is located at their centre in St. Thomas. She is excited to meet you!
Purrfect Seniors is proud to sponsor Toast and Jam, covering:
